Ved Vaani: What is Rajasuya Yagya, it is mentioned in Yajurveda

What is Rajasuya Yagya

Rajasuya Yajna is also one of the many Yajnas. Fame and the boundaries of the state increase with this yagya. In mythological times, especially this Yagya was performed by a king. When the Pandavas made Indraprastha their capital and began to rule there righteously, Yudhishthira performed the Rajasuya Yagya.

It has been said in the Gita about Yajna-
Annadbhavanti Bhutani Parjanyadnasambhava:. p style ="text-align: justify;">Meaning– All living beings are born from food and food is produced from rain. Rain is caused by Yagya and Yagya is done by Karma.

Benefits of Yagya

It is believed that the wish is fulfilled by the Yagya. There is a law to perform Yagya for getting wealth, atonement for deeds, preventing evil, getting rid of misfortune, getting good fortune, getting rid of diseases etc. Yagya is also necessary in Gayatri worship. In religious scriptures, Gayatri is called the mother and Yagya is called the father and due to their combination, the spiritual birth of a human being takes place.
