Uddhav Thackeray will fight elections with Prakash Ambedkar in BMC, suspense on coming together with Congress and NCP

Maharashtra News: The alliance between Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) and Prakash Ambedkar-led Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) has been formally announced on Monday. Uddhav Thackeray said in a joint press conference, "We have come together for the betterment of the country, to oppose dictatorship and to keep democracy alive." We are now coming together to raise the concerns of the people and the security of the country, Thackeray said.

We will decide on the next political course at an appropriate time. Announcing that the BJP was trying to eliminate the political leadership with the help of central agencies like the ED, Ambedkar predicted that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership will end soon, and the ‘Shiv Shakti-Bhim Shakti’ alliance will work to save the Constitution and democracy.

Thackeray’s claim
Thackeray claimed that a new partnership had already been discussed with the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party-Sena (UBT) Maha Vikas Aghadi allies, while Ambedkar expressed hope that MVA would soon adopt VBA.

What did Ambedkar say?
Though Thackeray has not yet told about the seat sharing arrangement. It is not clear whether the alliance is acceptable to the other MVA allies – the Congress and the NCP – and whether it will continue for the Lok Sabha and state assembly elections in 2024. Ambedkar said, "I hope Congress and NCP will come with us."

What did Uddhav Thackeray say?
Thackeray said, "It is not that this alliance was formed overnight. We have discussed alliance with Congress and NCP and no one has said no. During this, Thackeray recalled the shared history between his grandfather, social activist Prabodhankar Thackeray, and Ambedkar’s grandfather BR Ambedkar.
