Bharat Biotech Coronavirus Nasal Vaccine: The fight against the corona virus is still going on and the biggest weapon in it is the vaccine. This is the reason why pharma companies are continuously experimenting with this. Now soon the country is going to get the first intranasal vaccine (to be given through the nose). Bharat Biotech will launch its Nasal Kovid-19 vaccine iNCOVACC on 26 January. The company’s executive chairman Krishna Ella gave this information in a program on Saturday.
Approved last year
Bharat Biotech Intramuscular Corona virus has developed the vaccine. At the same time, the Government of India had approved the company’s nasal vaccine on 23 December 2022. Then the company had said that the vaccine would be launched in the last week of January 2023. The company has also given information about the prices of the nasal vaccine. The cost of the nasal vaccine has been kept at Rs 325 per dose for bulk procurement by the central and state governments, while the vaccine will be available at Rs 800 in private vaccination centres.
Who can get the vaccine?
Primary vaccination of most of the country’s population has been done, so people above 18 years of age will also be able to take this vaccine, who have already taken the dose. The vaccine will be introduced as a booster dose. It will be given twice at an interval of 28 days.
