The deceased was addicted to alcohol and on the 19th, the day the elephant came to the nursery, entered the forest even after the people refused. Significantly, two days ago, the elephant had camped in the nursery located in front of the Gadaghat government liquor shop. Probably during this time he has killed the young man. Presently the Forest Department team has reached the spot and further action is on.

Actually, on the morning of January 19, an elephant separated from the herd had reached the nursery of Khairbar village near Surguja district headquarters Ambikapur city from Kalyanpur side of Surajpur district. . The said elephant had also broken the wall of the CCF bungalow. At the same time, due to the elephant reaching near the city, there was a stir in the surrounding villages along with the city. Then the Forest Department team was monitoring the elephant by keeping an eye on the drone camera. 

In this sequence, on Sunday, the body of a person named Prakash, a resident of Khairbar, was found in the Gadaghat nursery, it is being said about the deceased that he was crushed to death by an elephant. The age of the deceased is about 40 to 45 years. However, it has not yet been confirmed that the elephant killed the youth. 

Elephant was chased
It may be noted that on January 19, the elephant which came near Ambikapur town was chased by the forest department till Mohanpur Ramnagar, which is currently near Lalmati Tendudand under district Lundra forest area. Is. Ambikapur ranger Sanjay Lakda told ABP News that a dead body was found in the nursery, but it has not been confirmed whether it was killed by the elephant itself, the investigation is underway. Presently the elephant is near Lalmati of Lundra forest range.
