IPS Success Story: If you have determination and passion to achieve any destination, then believe me, no destination is impossible. Such is the story of Preeti Chandra, who wanted to become a journalist, but fate had something else in store for her. Preeti Chandra after becoming a journalist took the UPSC exam and became an IPS officer. Today even big criminals tremble at his name.

Preeti was posted as ASP in Alwar, SP in Bundi and SP in Kota ACB and other important posts. He had exposed a gang that was pushing girls into prostitution in Bundi and brought the criminals to the bars. She has caught many dacoits like Hariya Gurjar, a prize dacoit of ten thousand rupees, Srinivas of Ramlakhan gang, Shri Ram Gurjar, Kala and their associates.

IPS Preeti was born in the year 1979 in Kundan village of Sikar in Rajasthan.  IPS Preeti Chandra’s education up to tenth standard was done from the government school of the village. He did his MA from Maharani College, Jaipur. He obtained B.Ed, MA and MPhil degrees. After that he started journalism from Jaipur. She prepared for UPSC without coaching while staying in Jaipur during journalism and in her first attempt, Preeti secured 255th rank in UPSC exam in 2008.

Mother encouraged her to study
Preeti’s mother was not educated but she knew very well the importance of education. He also encouraged Preeti a lot to study. Preeti’s husband Vikas Pathak is also a DIG in the police department. Both of them did love marriage. Both of them met at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.
