Mumbai Accident News: A seven-year-old girl died after plaster fell from an under-construction residential building in the early hours of Monday. According to BMC Disaster Control, the incident took place near Chandanwadi in South Mumbai around 8 pm. V.P. According to the Patel Road police station, the debris of the 24-storey Shripati Jewels building fell on a girl named Krisha Patel, injuring her seriously. The Patel family lives on the 7th floor of the building, where construction is underway from the 15th to the 24th floor.
Death during treatment in hospital
A BMC official said that Krisha was taken to the nearby Reliance Foundation Hospital, where she died during treatment at around 1.30 am on Monday. V.P. Considering it a case of negligence, the Road police station has registered a case against builder Rajendra Chaturvedi and site supervisor Raghav Parmar. Police and fire brigade have cordoned off the building complex and surrounding as a precautionary measure and further investigation is underway.
