‘Know which routes are closed and where to divert’, know the new advisory before leaving home

Republic Day 2023 Traffic Advisory: The capital Delhi and the duty road have been prepared for the 74th Republic Day celebrations in the country. In this connection, the Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory for the Republic Day on the roads of Delhi. 

In this advisory, the Delhi Police advised people to avoid these places and routes. Delhi Police said that Republic Day will be celebrated on 26 January 2023. The parade will start from Vijay Chowk at 10.30 am and go to Red Fort ground and there will be a program related to it at India Gate at 9.30 am. Police said that all kinds of traffic will be closed on the way of the parade. 

What does the advisory of Delhi Police say?
According to the advisory of Delhi Police, on January 25, from 6 pm till the end of the parade, there will be no movement of any kind on the duty path from Vijay Chowk to India Gate. Traffic will not be allowed. No cross traffic  will be allowed on duty path from 10 pm on 25th January till the parade is over at Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road. 

C Hexagon-India Gate will remain closed for traffic from 9.15 am on January 26 till the parade crosses Tilak Marg. From 10.30 am on January 26, traffic will not be allowed on both the roads on Tilak Marg, BSZ Marg and Subhash Marg and only cross traffic will be allowed on the basis of parade movement. Delhi Traffic Police has also given a list of suggested routes to save people from traffic. 

Delhi DTC buses will not ply here
Delhi Police told that keeping in view the celebrations taking place in Delhi, buses will not ply in these areas of Delhi. He informed that city bus services were suspended at Park Street/Udyan Marg, R/A Kamla Marg, Pragati Maidan (Bhairon Road), Aram Bagh Road (Pahar Ganj), Delhi Secretariat (IG Stadium), Hanuman Mandir (Yamuna Bazar), Mori Will be done. 

Delhi Police has appealed to the public to inform the police if they see any suspicious person or object.
