According to DownDetector, more than 12,000 users across Instagram reported issues with access to the app and nearly 8,000 incidents were reported for the Facebook app.
The reason for the social media app down is not clear
Downdetector.com data shows that outage reports for WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger have also increased. Downdetector tracks outages by combining status reports from multiple sources, including errors submitted by users on its platform. At present, it is not known what was the reason for this problem. Meta did not immediately respond to a request for comment, reports news agency Reuters.
The problem had come before
Earlier in May last year, there were problems in the meta platforms Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp in America (US) and Britain (UK). Instagram was down globally on 19 April 2022 as well. Most of the users complained at that time that they were unable to access their profile or refresh the feed.
