Balrampur: Big decision in case of conversion, Maulana sentenced to 10 years

Balrampur Court: The decision of the court has come in the matter of forcible conversion in Balrampur. A year ago, the woman was forced to convert to religion. In the case, the court has sentenced Maulana Jamir to 10 years rigorous imprisonment. A fine of 50 thousand has also been imposed on him. Not only this, the victim will also have to pay five lakh rupees as compensation. The court has given justice to the victim in the case within a year. The incident took place in Halaura Gram Sabha under Jarwa police station area of ​​the district.

The woman’s husband had lodged an FIR
Kuldeep Singh, the public prosecutor in the case, said that on June 12, 2022, Vishnu, son of Chhote Lal of Haraula village, had lodged an FIR. In this, he told that his wife and four minor children, including two sons and two daughters, have been converted into Muslims by Maulana. He was accused of converting his religion. Jarwa Kotwali had filed a charge sheet against Maulana Jamir in the case. 

Two minors were also circumcised 
The trial of the case was done by the District and Sessions Court, Balrampur. During this five witnesses were produced. During this it was proved that Maulana had also got two minor children circumcised. After this, his name was also written in the madrasa. The names of the four children were also changed. 

The hearing of the case was completed within a year
In this case, Maulana converted minor children and married women to Islam without the father’s order. This is against the constitution. This is a punishable offense under the sections of the Prohibition of Religion Act 2021. The trial of the case was completed within a year. After proving the crime, Maulana has been sentenced to 10 years, fined Rs 50,000 and an order has been passed to give Rs 5 lakh as compensation to the victim.
